it depens on what you want really. if you dont want something high tech get motorola w755 if u are into texing samsung alias or lg rumor if into music chocolate or voyager. kantana dlxi dont really like it but looks like a really good stirdy phone. i would get chocolate 3.

I have a 12 year old boy and he is getting the Alias...I have the Voyager...both phones are great.Dont listen to the other guy about LG phones...Ive had them for years and they are good.(i work construction). Voyager is a little Hightech but easily understood...a little bulky probably for a 12 year girl on the go....the alias is great for the girl who is gonna text alot...and it will fit in her pockets or purse way better.they are both $99.00 right now...I just left a Verizon store about 2 hours ago...:)...good luck.
