I have a big bet riding on selecting the player who will win the tournament and I need your help. Which of the following players has the best chance of winning the 2008 PGA Championship: Justin Rose, Zach Johnson, Hunter Mahan, Ian Poulter, Peter Lonard, or Pat Perez. Your help could win me thousands of dollars. I will be forever thankful.

  1. I think out of those, i would have to choose zach johnson or justin rose. However, i think sergio garcia has a good chance.

  2. out of those picks i would say poulter, he played great at the british open.

My picks to win are Rocco, Kenny Perry and Anothony Kim

  3. I like Ian so I'm going with him.

  4. I would have to say Johnson or Mahan, however don't rule out

Sergio,  Rocco, Kenny Perry or Anthony Kim either they have all shown signs this year that they could come out compete and win,  I would say Sergio, Rocco or Perry all have a better chance than most of the people you have listed except for Johnson or Mahan.

  5. Rose or Mahan. You actually have them listed in order from best to worst.

  6. I'd pick Zach Johnson from your list,

Personally I think Sergio Garcia and Padraig Harrington have a better chance, even Anthony Kim might have a chance at it ;-)

  7. Of those players:  I like Ian Poulter best, because he is coming off a 2nd place finish at the British Open.

I really like Ernie Els to win the PGA Championship.  He has already won once this year (Honda Classic in March), plus he just met with his swing coach Butch Harmon in Las Vegas.  "The Big Easy" doesn't need much work, just some fine tuning and his swing is the best in the world behind Tiger.

  8. I don't think any of those guys will win. I'd put my money on Sergio Garcia.

  9. Mickleson, Garcia and Harrington will start out the outright faves.

From your list I will have to say that none of them have a brilliant chance: order of finish from top to bottom (from your list)

    Justin Rose (10th - 20th)

    Hunter Mahan (20th - 30th)

    Ian Poulter (20th - 30th)

    Pat Perez

    Zach Johnson

    Peter Lonard

  10. Probably Ian Poulter, he is getting better and better.

  11. If I had to pick form the list provided, I'd go with Poulter or Mahan...Poulter has been playing well lately and finished in top 5 at British Open...Mahan usually plays well on American soil and is a good, young player...good luck.
