This is a very poorly worded question, as it is too generalizing, there were abolitionists in both the north and south, as well as pro-slavery in both north and south.  Radical is a relative term, however, since a lot of the northerners were somewhere in the middle between pro and anti slavery, which should put them as the most conservative, I'd have to say b.
