Question:

Which of these tahoe resorts is most accomadating to snowboarding?? Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley?

This will be our honey moon and will be going Tuesday thru Friday, in late March...Curious as to which mountain would give us the best bang for the buck...thanks!

  1. Depends on what you are looking for. Northstar has by for the best park jib friendly mentality, good base village and plenty to keep you busy. Alpine is your best bet if you are into the backcountry. They have an open boundary policy and is the most rugged out of the three. Squaw is a great all around resort. Tons of great terrain nice base village but more cat tracks. My pick Just depends on the day.


  2. northstar and kirkwood are my two favorites. they both have alot of runs but northstar's terrain park is better

I'm a skier so I can't tell you from personal experience, but my favorite is Kirkwood, and most of my snowboarding friends also swear by Kirkwood.   The only problem is that it's a long drive, especially if you're staying on the north side of the lake, which I'm guessing you are.   But it's definitely worth the drive.

    I like Squaw second best of all the Tahoe resorts, but I couldn't tell you anyhing about how the riding is, just the skiing.
