  1. Hydrophyllic=water loving, so it's soluable in water.

    Lipophyllic=fat loving, so it'll cross cell membranes (since it's made out of fat)


  2. Phyllic means attraction and phobic means the reverse.

    so hydrophyllic-water attracted that means water soluble

    Lipophyllic-fat attractant that means cross membranes.

  3. Hydrophobic and Lipophobic are fears not soluables, duh. Do your homework w/out cheating, kay?
