Which of these two cameras take "smooth" photos?

so which one makes smooth photos?

-sony cyber-shot w150

-canon sd790

I would choose the Canon SD790

I have never been pleased with any Sony camera, and the shutter sound is horrible.

Btw that picture has been photoshopped some.

The picture you linked to has been oversharpened, possibly because it was a bit soft to begin with.   (The boy on the right is simply not in focus.)    What you need to look for is good lighting and composition.  Any camera should be able to do as good.  My vote would be for the Canon as well.
