Which of these two names do you like...?

I would go with Koda Jai for the following reasons:

1) The name Koda Daniel sounds like a stutter. It's because the 'da' sound is repeated (at the end of koDA and the start of DAniel). If you want to hear this for yourself, try saying the name aloud at a normal to fast speed. Or attempt to say the name quickly twenty times.

2) Koda Jai flows better, because there is a nice break up of syllables. Having a two syllable first name and a one syllable middle name makes the name as a whole sound more interesting, and less 'sing-songy'.

3) The style of the name Jai seems to suit Koda more than Daniel does. Daniel is a timeless Hebrew name. On the other hand, Koda and Jai are both short, breezy names that have a crisp modern sound.

I don't really like any, but if I had to choose i'd go with Koda Jai.

For future reference, I wouldn't name anyone after the Japanese word for "killer"....except for my dog, perhaps.
