They are almost identical.  But the LG claims a slightly higher contrast ratio and a slightly larger viewing angle.  It also claims it can support 1080p, whereas the Samsung only goes up to 1080i.  However, since it doesn't have 1080 lines of resolution, it will be doing some sort of downscaling that will make the difference irrelevant.  

They would both be excellent choices.  You may want to look at the different number and variety of input ports they offer and choose the one that will be most useful for you in that regard, since the visual quality is very nearly identical.
