Today I was driving in heavy city traffic when I heard sirens so pulled over with all the other cars on both sides of the road. However, I was surprised when instead of police cars, fire trucks or ambulances I saw 3 medium-sized unmarked white trucks speed by with red and blue lights and sirens blaring. Who were they? Vehicles were clean with no identifying markings at all. They had dark tinted windshields too. Almost looked like armored cars or "paddy wagons." I'm really curious who was driving these strange trucks and why they were in such a hurry.

  1. SPT, Secret Prisoner Transport service.  They transport secret political prisoners like Jimmy Hofa or Steve Fossett.  Don't get in their way they have been known to arrest someone who gets in an accident with one of their vehicles.  That person is almost never seen again.

  2. The lights were around the headlights and tail-lights, right? or from inside, not on the top like usual? Those are undercovers. Were they F-150's? Those are usually the type they use in my town, but I have seen all sorts of undercover vehicles.

  3. You mention city traffic- assuming you are in a somewhat large city, they may have been vehicles assigned to a specialty unit - like a SWAT/EST team.  When you see three consecutive unfamiliar vehicles like that it seems like that may have been likely.

  4. FOR MY OWN ASSESSMENT of your experience these is either a government van for some agency pertaining to intelligence or a van use for transporting cash or money from banks.

SOME ARMORED van of banks uses white trucks tinted naturally to hide person or persons inside these vans for security purposes, and have red and blue lights plus sirens to move the vehicle as fast as they can through traffic to avoid being robbed along the highway or streets. Making them more obvious to pedestrians and motor vehicles is one of the best tactics in avoidance of being robbed. REMEMBER THE MOVIE - FAST AND FURIOUS? They are armored vans. Imagine carrying loads or tone of money inside your vehicle is one of the adrenalin rush inside the people inside these van.

ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLE, is yourself. Imagine you got lots of money place in one bag, let us estimate it as close to $500,000 or more in one bag that is. And you just got out of the building. You are going to walk in a streets full of people from all walks of life, ARE YOU NOT NERVOUS? You began to look from left to right sensing people around you, some even look you in the eye others do not mind you at all. It is not your  money, you have a job to transfer that loads of money to another building just by mere walking. Either you walk or  take a cab although the building could be taken by 15 minutes. Would you walk or take a ride?
