Which oil for a 99' RM 125?

Just wondering if anyone an suggest a good quality oil for a 99 rm 125. I have been trying to get the right oil for a good year now and i have tryed motul 800 2t and was fouling every couple of minutes now im on castrol tts and it seems like i have lost a lot of power from it. Anyone tryed the fully synthetic silkolene oil ?

  1. ya yamalube at 40:1 is good if you are fouling plugs then try adjusting the carb needle on the inside of it there are some screws that hold a piece that holds the cable in. take it out and take the cable out then there should be a snap ring around the needle move the ring up 1 or 2 notches witch will lower the needle. put everything back and start it. adjust the carb accordingly you will get more "zip" and you wont use as much gas wich wont foul your plugs as easy keep the revs high aswell.


  2. I like klots. I have been using it since I was a kid ( I'm 34 now) and have never had a problem. And it smells great.

  3. Try Yamalube 2-cycle pre mix at 40 to 1, It has never let me down.

  4. which oil 2 stroke, or trans??

    i have a 99 rm125 bought since new.  i run maxima super m for 2 stroke, and maxima mtl 80 weight for trans.

    have not have a any failures and clutches last forever with that stuff. and power is tops.
