  1. Twos are very capable of using safety sissors and glue. It helps them develope fine motor development. Glue is easily and safely used by pour ing small amounts in a dixie cup and giving them popsicle sticks to smear the glue where they want. I have 15 month olds doing this.

A is good to help them develop fine motor skills needed with cutting and writing-the low 2's would need more help with this than the high twos, B is very simple and the children would enjoy but it do not leave much room for individual expression or creativity, C would be a good individual activity with very minimal adult involvment that lets them express themselves creativly and it is all individual expression, D a good group activity with adult involvment.

All are good ideas but I would stick more to option C. This can further enhance their learning if you focus on one color or complimenting colors (all green or green and red for example) you can also do a more advance version of this if it is high 2's by getting many catalogs, flyers, stickers and texture materials and giving the instruction to cut and tear out pictures in the color catagory you give them, and to then create a picture using these materials.

  2. b & c

  3. 2 year olds and scissors of any kind?  I don't think so!

cutout of kitty w/whiskers and eyes to glue on?  Eyes are a choking hazzard

colored paper to tear and paste - maybe

    papier mache?  too young!

    How about finger painting?

The scraps of paper is ok.  Just don't know how you are going to do the paste thing.  Maybe have glue in a container and let them (w/help) use a sponge brush to dab on glue.  You are going to have to really supervise this because they most likely will want to use much more glue than needed and make a gluey mess!

  4. I have a 2 and 3 year old.

B and C would be good for the 2, A would be great for the 3

  5. b and c
