  1. This cruise was my favourite:

Grand Mediterranean - Venice to Barcelona - 12 Days

You arrive in Venice the day before the cruise leaves. You overnight on the ship in Venice, so you have plenty of time to explore the Islands. Leaving from Venice on the Grand Canal is something that you will never forget.

There is a day at sea then Athens (Piraeus),  Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey,  Istanbul, Turkey, Mykonos, Greece, Day At Sea, Naples/Capri, Italy, Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, Florence/Pisa (Livorno), Italy, Marseille (Provence), France and finally Barcelona, Spain.

All superb places to visit, great historical sites and brilliant weather.

A really good cruise but hard work visiting all those places that you really don't want to miss. Great ship, great crew, great weather, great food and good entertainment. Brilliant

  2. Really depends on what you like!

I guess the first question is DESTINATION.  For example, if you want to go to Tahiti, then you have to go on Tahitian Princess.  =)

Then, I'd think about LENGTH of cruise.  7 days works for me most of the time, but I dream about the 25+ day cruise from Australia to the US -- but that'll probably only be possible after I retire.

The other big differentiation among Princess ships is SIZE.  They have the really small ones (800 people) and the really big ones (3500++ people).  The big ships have more restaurants, nightclubs and pools.  The smaller ships have a more intimate, social atmosphere.  The small ships also DON'T have Anytime Dining.
