  1. In medicine, especially when being a doctor, you are always needed and people are willing to pay generous salaries for your services. Although being a doctor is about commitment to helping others to the best of your ability and being selfless, at the same time, you can indulge in "high class" activities. Doctors are generally viewed constantly as part of the "high class" spectrum of the social hierarchy, and generally make a good salary. Business is very risky, and if you make it big, that's fantastic. However, most of the time, you'll find out that you won't and so it's all very high risk. Though both, if you find success in either will provide you with what you need.

  2. for vacation, business is better bc in medicine, if ur a doctor or even somethin small as a cardiologist or a radiologist, ur on permanent stand by. salary wise, medicine but thats only if ur in it after a very long time like 10 years after ur out of medical school. being high class, business, but only if uve gotten an mba. so overall, id say business bc ull be in school less

  3. I'm due to be a medical student, and I can tell you that you'll never even make it to med school if you're in it for the money and the class. Sure, being a doctor is high class but what's important is that you want to BE a doctor, that's the only thing that will push you through med school because it's d**n tough. It's easy to get a job, the pay depends on how good you are, but it's a **** job.

If you want to be in business, there's only 3 ways you can go - super rich, super broke, or just average. Never go into business if you aren't good enough, because it takes a lot to become successful.

  4. c mon they are entirely diff courses/ do that in which you have interest................ work hard u'll be rewarded 4 sure

  5. if youre looking to be "high class", forget about being a doctor. doctors dont make as much money as they used to and you have to pay up to half your salary for malpractice insurance annually. plus, you cant go into medicine for selfish reasons- youll never make it through (or probably even INTO) med school. stick to business if youre looking for money.med school is a HUGE commitment and everyone in my class (and every other med school class) is commited to helping people, not becoming "high class".

p.s. the person above who said cardiologists and radiologists are "something small" apparently doesnt have a clue what doctors have to do to specialize- both those specialists are saved for the best students in their med school class and are generally just brilliant people. its very very hard to get residencies and fellowships in those things, and i dont know what "constant standby is" or why they think it only apply to cardios and radio, but every doctor is on standby ALL the time..meaning that even if you do make money, you wont have any time to spend it.

  6. Well I would say medicine, because in a few years I'll be studying to be a doctor. Although I think you should decide on which is better for you... than someone else telling you what's better, because I'm sure you know what's better for yourself.
