I am going to upgrade my PC. I am planning to buy Intel dual core 2.0 GHz (E2180). I am two options for board: either to buy INTEL D945GCNL or INTEL D945GCPE. I have heard that D945GCPE doesn't have any expansion slots for Graphics cards; But D945GCNL have. And again D945GCNL will produce more noise while operating and bears many audio related problems? Please, i need your suggestion which one is better to buy.

  1. go for the D945GCNL

  2. I would ask why are you stuck on these two boards.  There are many Intel boards out there and can do much of any task you want them to with issues.  The x38 or the P43 do a good job and run very good speeds with dual core processors.  The only reason I could see a motherboard making more noise would be if it has a northbridge fan installed and or installing 1 or 2 graphics cards with fans that run 100%.  If it is supposed to make that much noise on its own then it is a c**p board, transporting files and running processes is noiseless...
