My husband and I are thiking about going on a vacation early next year and we are already starting to plan (this is our first trip together and the first for him out of state). We would like to go to at least 2-3 amusements park in California but not sure what one. I have been to Disneyland long ago and I really enjoyed it and I think I want to go again and my husband has never been there. What other things are there to do in California we are open for suggestions, we plan on staying there for a week. Do you recommend going to San Diego Zoo? Anyone who lives in Caifornia please give me some attractions to go to. I would really like to take a boat ride on the sea becuz my husband has never seen the ocean before, how much to the boat rides cost and the names so I can look it up online. Oh, can you tell me your opinion on Universial Studios and Sea World and what one you like better? Thanks for all the help. What places would have the cheapest hotels in San Diego and Anehien area.

  1. i would like sea world better

    or sixflags is nice

  2. For Disneyland you should schedule 2-3 days.  But if time is a factor you should be able to do most(if not all) of the things you want to do in 2 days.

Between Universal and Sea World, you can not really compare them because they are totally different.  If you are more into rides then Universal is where you will probably want to go.  But if you are more into animals then Sea World would probably be better.   If you like animals at all then I would defiantly recommend the San Diego Zoo.  For any of these you do need to allow a full day for each.

If you want to take a boat ride you can take a Ferry over to Catalina Island.  You can make it a Day Trip, but may find it nicer to stay overnight on the island.   If you don't want spend that much time you can look into either Harbor Tours in San Diego or Whale Watching(again depending on exactly when you are going).  The only thing that if you take your trip "early" next year you may not have the best weather for anything on the ocean.

For lodging the Anaheim area around Disneyland has a lot of hotels in all price ranges.  They can be anywhere from about $70 a night for the budget motels on up to a few hundred a night for the higher quality hotels.  In San Diego the hotels can be spread out, but you can look at an area called Hotel Circle/Mission Valley and find a good range of hotels that are close to both the Zoo and Sea World.

  3. I totally loved Universal Studios but we spent the extra money and got the front of the line pass.  It's really the only way you can enjoy all the rides and fit it all into one day so if you end up going there, I totally recommend getting it.

  4. Universal Studios!

  5. CALIFORNIA ADVENTURES i went to disney land and cali adv. this past march and calid adventures is way funn =] the zoo i wen to in s.diego wasnt as funn i dont remember what it was called but it was small.. umm we also went to that huge 5 story mall thats outside! way fun !

EDIT-- cali adventures is in disney land! its right across the way from the entrance..so if you go there youll get it from the same place you get the disney land tickets! and also lego land would be fun

  6. DISNEY! it's the happiest place on earth.,
