both seem to be high-quality matches but i would have to choose Safin vs. Djokovic

It is going to be a clash and any of the two can win as Safin has huge groundstrokes and a killer serve that can help him on grass.

Both these matches should prove far from boring. Novak vs Safin will be a hard hitting dog fight, with a fair share of aces. Safin has been so up and down and has yet to be consistent and win matches against the top players, while tryign to get back to the top of the game. Djokovic should win in 4.  Nadal vs Gulbis, the young up and comer, who has a strong serve and nice game with his groundstrokes, will be entertaining. I see nadal winning though in 3 close sets, perhaps 4. Something like 7-5, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6 ).

The Nadal VS. Gulbis match. Even though the Djokovic VS. Safin match may look to be good, it may not be as good as you think because Safin has not proved to be as good of a player as some think. He misses too much and has not been serving well and Djokovic will punish him. Nadal will win, but if Gulbis wins, he will give Nadal quite a challenge.
