  1. see, u mean by saying that ship is sinking, means there is a hole

    therefore, if ship moves wioth gr8er speed than that of water,

    pressure at hole is high, hence velocity is less(bernoulli),

    hence ship with slower velocity has a gr8er chance of sinking if it has a hole

  3. huh? what is "speed of water"? Do you mean speed of current?

    And how can it sail faster than a ship? or do you mean move faster than a ship?

    There are very few currents that are faster than 10 knots, and most ships can move faster than that.

    And it has little or nothing to do with chances of sinking.

The water being greater than that of the ship in all instances... based on the relative amount of energy, a small change in ship dynamics translates into a much greater error when the volume of water moving is higher.  The most force a ship can generate is relative to it's weight and speed, and the most force a body of water can generate given the same speed conditions is greater, since it is more massive than the ship.  (After all , the ship is floating)
