  1. IN ELECTRICITY COPPER IS CONSIDERED AS GOOD CONDUCTOR, BUT NO DOUBT IT IS COSTLY

  2. Copper!, aluminum is only good for starting house fires (small joke)...in the aircraft industry the pins and sockets in connectors are gold plated copper, silver is junk nobody uses it as an option (corrosion issues for example)...

  3. Any material that conducts heat or electricity (as opposed to an insulator, or nonconductor). A good conductor has a high electrical or heat conductivity, and is generally a substance rich in loosely-held free electrons, such as a metal. Copper and aluminium are good conductors. A poor conductor (such as the non-metals glass, porcelain, and rubber) has few free electrons and resists the flow of electricity or heat. Carbon is exceptional in being non-metallic and yet (in some of its forms) a relatively good conductor of heat and electricity. Substances such as silicon and germanium, with intermediate electrical conductivities that are improved by heat, light, or impurities, are known as semiconductors.

Liquids (including water) can also be electrical conductors. Electricity (current) can flow by the movement of charged ions through a solution or a molten salt (electrolyte). This process is called electrolysis.

  4. silver is the best conductor in this world

  5. Which conducts electricity with out any heat loss.Heat loss is due to resistance offered by the substance. So materials offering low resistance for the flow of electrons is a good conductor. All metals are good conductors. Graphite is the only non-metal which is a conductor.

  6. Silver

  7. the best conductor is not silver, but Platinum followed by gold on second place.silver is third

since all the 3 are precious metals, ALUMINIUM is the most cost-effective conductor.

  8. silver - 6,21 x 10 ^7/ ohm.mt

    copper- 5,88

    gold - 4,55

    aluminum -3,65

Engineering is optimization also.silver is a valuable metal except some cases ( because of conductivity ) we don't use silver as a conductor. The most common used for wires aluminum and for cables copper.
