micrsoft points lets you buy stuff on the xbox  market place 100 points dont go far  tho  

80 points = 1 dollor

If you''ll actually send in the $10 game rebate, take the value pack.  Otherwise just buy a 3 month.  100 MS points is worth only $1.25.  Joust is a pretty lame game.  Headsets come free with your xbox, or if you lost yours, you can buy one cheap.  I own a headset and I rarely use it.

The first one is the better deal. It costs less for the same thing. Microsoft Points are the currency on Xbox Live. You can use them to download gamerpictures, themes, videos, arcade games, etc.

Have you got a headset?

If you don't go with the 1st one because it's better value. If you have a headset go with the 2nd one.

Oh and Microsoft points are used to download content on the Xbox Live Marketplace. There are some things that are free however alot of the content you will need Microsoft points to download.

You wont be able to do anything with just 100 Microsoft points. You may be able to download 1 or 2 picture packs with it but thats it.

Hey alright well ill answer the way you post it.

1) Its a good deal..IF!!!! You don't have a head set. When you are on xbox live you can chat with other people or friends. The 100microsoft points are not alot since if you want to buy an arcade game the average from 400-1200 points. But for 10 extra dollars the headset is cheap because normally it runs for 20 by itself.

2) its easy and cheaper. If you have a head set then you really don't need those crappy 100microsoft points.

Remember you have to have a hard drive to have xbox live running.

The points are like "fake" money. Things on Marketplace are in a value of MP microsoft points. There is rarely some things that are good for 100mp. Maybe a dashboard background, a set of gamer pics, or a car if you play need for speed pro street. But overall just chose what you really need.
