you love physics part of electronics?i mean the hardware..

if yes go for electronics..if u are fascinated by the softwares and the way programs work go for software..dont go for electronics unless u really like it..cos i feel its really really vast and you can go to any level.

software is just programing..what you need is to get the syntax..you never know what exactly is happening in your computer..even if u take electronics you can get placed in a software company..but for a computer engg there is very little scope for electronics company..

Both are best buddy but in computer engg  u have so many option for getting job.
