Question:

Which one is better to visit over the August Bank holiday - Bournemouth OR Isle Of Wight OR Cornwall?

We are planning to go for a trip to somewhere in south of England in the coming August bank holiday but are quite confused over the place which we should see.

We have short-listed the following places (based on inputs from others) but have no idea which one would be best to visit given the current weather conditions (Max temperatures hovering around just about 16-18 degrees):

1) Bournemouth

2) Isle Of Wight

3) Cornwall

Our original preference is to see good beaches (over sight-seeing) but not sure if it is advisable to go for any beach activities in this weather.

Please give your suggestion ASAP and advice which place would be best to visit amongst those mentioned above and why?....Also, if you think of some other place, then also kindly let us know.

Thanks very much and waiting eagerly for replies...

  1. I live in north cornwall, and think that you should visit us!!

We have the best beaches in the UK (Bude, Newquay etc).

Just make sure you bring an umbrella, the weather is being a bit unpredictable at the moment!

    Hope to see you soon!
