It depends on if you have other fish in the fishtank with them.

If you have fish who are prone to nipping, then you should purchase mollies, and not guppies due to their long fins.

But if your tank already has peaceful fish, or no fish at all, then go for the more visually attractive fish, in the guppy.

Keep in mind that these fish need to be kept in groups.

They are h**l cute, there are a few different varieties of them, and in my experience, guppies drop like flies. Especially the males.

Guppies because:

~there are sooo many varieties to choose from

~they reproduce like rabbits, so you could start a hobby of breeding them to make your own guppy coloration etc

~They are fun to watch

~Personally I think they look better

~Realatively hardy fish

I have owned both guppies and mollies and to be honest I think mollies just look like fat fish, but it is completely up to you. My mollies died before my guppy and I actually still have my guppy and their babies...

Guppy's are most the most sociable and easy to maintain  with brighter colored tails and you have great varitey and option they are my most favorite where mollies can get quite aggresive and i have both but really its up to you. And Just for the record guppys do not die constantly
