  3. I think  these are mixed...

    "whatever does not kill you only makes you stronger"

    but of course there are variations in some common expressions.

    even some that are quoted from written sources are sometimes changed.

    a more common variation of the above is

    "that which does not kill us, only makes us stronger"

    "rose is a rose is a rose......"  was a poem dedicated to a woman named rose.

    It was so often misquoted as  "a rose is a rose is a rose...."

    that later editions of the poems were changed

    This was an original poem by gertrude stein but has been use countless times even as titles of other books...A famouse speech dedicated to rosa luxemburg was titled rose is a rose.

    so really I guess the idea is correct no matter the exact wording.     Good luck and may you get stronger every day.
