I have two chickens one was female and other male. I killed them for a reason and ripped all feathers off, chopped off heads and legs all of them. After that I want to label them male and female tags on, but I could not recognized which one to which one either male or female. Please help if someone know..

    i hope this helped

  2. Female chickens are constantly producing eggs.  Open them up and one will have a number of immature eggs inside.  That's the female.

  3. Male chickens have a small copulatory organ (in this they're rather exceptional, because most birds don't have one).

    Please see this publication

It is a description of the male reproductive system and has photographs that show what the male phallus looks like. Using this, you'll be able to recognize the male and female without having to open them up and check for their gonads.

By the way, if you do have the chance to dissect them, you'll see that the reproductive tract of the female is asymmetrical (only one ovary and oviduct is developed) while that of the male is symmetrical (two testes).

  4. Simple, the female will have a very noticeable ovarian track.  If she was actively laying an egg everyday.  There will another egg on the way to being developed.  It would be easy to see in the ovarian track.

  5. Well i think if since you chopped them all up..

theres no way of telling if one is male or female.

And thats REALLY weird to post =S
