  1. I just purchased a new car, so I did alot of online research....

I looked at and test drove these cars:

    Honda Fit

    Toyota Yaris

    Scion XD (made by Toyota)

The Fit was ok, lots of space inside, impressive cargo area, not too crazy about the looks (especially in front)...it was ok, pretty zippy....bottom line price with sport options $17,500 (+/-)

The Toyota Yaris was okay....impressive sticker price and high gas mileage....not too bad of a ride....not as zippy as the Fit....but, the low price does NOT include any options!!  When you start to add things like a/c and power windows the price goes up dramatically....

My third and final choice was the Scion XD....this car I've dubbed 'The Better Looking Twin' to the Honda Fit.....This car comes pretty much loaded with the same options as the Honda Fit for about $1000 less ($16,000).....it has more horsepower than the Fit and actually some better options that you can't get on a Fit (yet)...the Scion has 16" tires and a separate aux jack exclusively for your ipod (you can control the radio/cd/ipod directly from your steering wheel)...

    I bought the Scion XD

The final factor in choosing the car was the dealership, I found Honda dealers hard to deal with and a little on the snooty side....they really low-balled my trade-in and basically told me 'Lady, this is the car, this is the price, if you don't take it there are plenty of people lined up behind you for it).....Toyota was very nice and pleasant....no pressure at all and gave me over $1600 more for my trade in.....

    Here's a cute little comparison video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1RiMPlSv...

Take your time, shop around....a vehicle is a major purchase....good luck
