  1. What encourages deeper thought, having the answer handed to you, or re-iterating it in a manner which is more comprehensible to the asker?

  2. In order to make a point, one has to be proactive and take the initiative.

Answering is reaction. If one tries to make one's own point against a question asked by someone else, it is very likely that it may not gel with the intent and quest of the 'asker' or even with other respondents. On the other hand, asking a question is one's own initiative.... a question can always be posed cleverly so as to make others think, and that can ensure that we make a point through an intelligently phrased question. More often than not, over here it is a question that makes me sit up rather than any answer!!

  3. Sometimes I find questions which allow me to say what I want to...I am sure of one thing that at least the asker would be reading it.  If other answerers also go through them its so much better.

While posting a question I hope to catch as many eyeballs as possible,  but given the fast-moving traffic here,  sometimes even my contacts miss it and give it a go,  unless they specifically seek my questions.

So I feel both have serious constraints...While answering I have to wait for the appropriate question to come up;  on the other hand my question might not be noticed by all.

  4. In my opinion, answer.  You make

a point.  If people are new to the

    idea, they'll have questions.  Any

    suggestion, people will question.

Since the original idea is yours,

    you answer.

    How better to persuade then

    through answering.

  5. what are you talking about

it would seem the answer, its all in the delivery, has nothing to do with the question.

  6. you have already made a point by asking this Q.

    so...asking is the answer....I guess.

  7. depends. but in my opinion, if you're trying to make a point or at least be a bit persuasive you must ask AND answer.

    ♥♪

  8. if ur speaking 2 a audience then asking and then answering but generally answering

  9. Questioning but hard ones because the harder it is, the harder they have to think about it and the better the results.

  10. Depends on what you want at a particular moment. If yu have questions in your mind and if there is no one to answer,I think asking and solving by getting answers is more imp.then earning points.

  11. What would Socrates do?

  12. On Answers it's asking the question.  Most people see the main part of the question as they scroll down to something that interests them.  Answering a question will only have your views seen by the minority that actually care to read through the other answers.  So, word your question well.  Every good question paints a thousand pictures.

  13. Depends on the subject, the presenter and his audience.

  14. I think asking a question is more effective. It lets the person who answer draw their own conclusions, which he's more likely to accept than yours. With a well crafted question, you can make anybody believe anything.

  15. Asking if you are a truth seeker.

Answering if you have much truth to disclose.

  16. Making a point to whom? For why?

If it's for the asker, then in the answer, if you geinuinely want to ask something, one assumes your interest is in the OTHERS reply, doesn't it???

    Mmmm

  17. Both are effective because both are effective forms of expression.

  18. I find both effective because you need to think carefully when you make or answer a question.
