Which one is more environmentally friendly and less expensive?

Reading an article on a P4 computer with flat screen which can take between 1-2 hrs

or

printing the article and using paper

What other methods are there to acheive finishing and understanding the article?

printing but using used paper....just use the back portion...

The electronic copy will cost you less. It costs maybe 2 cents in electricity.  It costs you between 10 cents and 50 cents per page to print it out.  Unless you want to keep it for a long time, the electronic copy is better.  You don't say how may pages anyway, but the more pages the worse off you are in terms of printing.

LCD flat screen only consume half electricity of CRT monitor does.

Paper kills trees as well. I would suggest read from your computer.
