  1. if u have lots of ram get vista and if you dont get xp

  2. Vista is better. Any problems users might be having come from outdated hardware, outdated software, and outdated attitudes.

  3. Vista is nice, but if you save documents on Word made in Vista and go to a library which only has XP you won't be able to view your documents unless you originally saved them in both formats.  If you had a printer on your XP then purchase vista, the disk that set up the printer may not work (and neither will the printer) unless you go to the printers web page and upload a patch.  Vista has its quirks, but overall I like it better than XP.  Just takes some getting used to like any new Operating System would.

  4. If you have 2GB RAM or more, vista is better. If not, XP is better. You also don't have to reboot as much after updates with Vista.

  5. Vista has been better for the last few months. IF you were going to get a computer or jsut upgrade your Operating system, go with Vista.

  6. XP hands down. Faster, better, less clunky. Vista is all cosmetic so to speak. If you want a computer that you might actually do something on definitely choose XP.

  7. Vista, it's easy to use and very visually appealing. XP is cool too, and all of that stupidness that they say about Vista isn't true at all. They may have had bugs to work out in the beginning, but now it's perfect and the operating system is wonderful =)

  8. I heard they have been having problems with Vista but of coarse new is always better.

  9. XP is best now. Vista will be better in years to come when things start to become incompatible with XP.

  10. dont listen to people who say Xp VISTA IS THE BOMB!! i love mine and its done nothing.  Besides the usually fix it for free anyways.... its amazing!  Super cool almost like a mac but better!! also NEVER buy a mac most file formats wont go onto mac so if your in a business or a student you really should stay with out a mac they suck for that kind of stuff!!!  But they like never break down so thats a pluse buttttt for everything else they suc!!! VISTA ALL THE WAY!

  11. XP is better than Vista, but soon Vista is gonna be the most widely used one, Juav V doesnt know what hes talking about he probably owns a mac, what a loser

  12. XP definetely, Vista gets on my last nerve, my mother has it and there are all these multiple problems that come with it, I found out that if I don't eject my iPod the EXACT right way with Vista it could crash my very expensive iPod, it is always constantly cutting off my internet and it's so complicated sometimes I think we should've chose XP over the warranty it seems worth it, the computer is incredibly slow for a thing with nothing wrong with it, really it's not worth the trouble...

  13. XP, although i would usually say which ever one is cheaper...

  14. ive used 2000 xp and now I'm onto vista. looks wise vista is very neat and clean and you can really customize it so it looks great without having to put much effort into it.

xp is good for compatibility whereas some old perhiples or devices made and designed before vista with out making it easy to use on vista wont work (not vista certified) that same can be said for a few games although i haven't had much trouble with the ones i have atm.

either way you look at it its best to upgrade to the newer version of an os rather than the older ones because that the direction that things are heading. if you want to have a longer system life choose vista and put up with the odd hiccup every now and again instead of having compatablilty issues when your using xp in a few years and things arnt made to run on it any more.

  15. I've heard Vista but i like XP although on my laptop i have Vista and i haven't had any problems. But i still like to go with the older things and go with XP because not a lot is made for vista yet, I'd go with XP until they come out with more compatible with Vista

  16. i would say XP but i have just got a laptop with vista and getting use to it its not as bad as some make out, so really i ha vent really answered your question have i? sorry.

  17. If your looking for good speed & performance I would suggest XP.

For awesome visual effects but a little slow performance & new windows softwares I would suggest Vista.

  18. Mac OSX!  J/K.  Sorry ;)

XP by far is my preferred over Vista.  I don't know why Microsoft keeps getting bigger and slower while the rest of technology goes smaller and quicker.  Baffling!  Plus the mandatory upgrades that come with the Office suite are insulting to any long-term customer!

  19. vista don't listen to all those rumours you hear about vista, i have it and it works amazing but with all new things you have to learn how to use it.

  20. They are both very good at giving a blue screen.  So it is a toss up.

  21. deff. XP! i have vista and there r only like15 games ican play that r vista compatible! it SUX!!!!

  22. I have used both and I prefer XP. When Vista first came out (after 5 years in the making) nothing was compatible with it and all the bugs weren't worked out. Vista still isn't the greatest. My comp came with Vista and after 6 months of one headache after the next, I promptly used "killdisk" and installed XP.

  23. dude...that's like asking if kirk is better then picard!

    NOT POSSIBLE!

(the irony of course is that Im writing this on a mac)

  24. Vista will become better, because XP will not get anymore updates as it has become obsolete

  25. XP until they get the bugs worked out of vista.

  26. xp. Vista = crash

  27. define "best"

xp is faster (and more reliable)

vista is newer and has more features

  28. Go with vista, you're likely not tech-savvy enough to care about its flaws if you're asking.

  29. Wow. This has like never been asked before!

Vista is newer, XP is tested.

    Sans SP3.

    And there ya go.

  30. if you already know how to use vista go for it, but xp seems to be more user friendly.

  31. If you are going to be downloading things, I think you'd be better off with windows XP.
