aha neither. They were cute as kids, but one's anorexic, and one has bleeched skin, and they both look pale as ghosts!

They used to be good role models for kids, and kids used to look up to them, shame on them for setting a bad example!

I'm a fan but let's face it, they were both horrible actresses growing up and their movies were horrible as well.  But because I know them personally as a fan, I know that's just how they really were.  They weren't really acting, they were just being themselves in their movies and they came out perky and amateur.

The better actress is Ashley Olsen.  When they were young to their ealy teens, Mary-Kate was the better actress (she even got an Emmy nomination, while Ash didn't).  But in their later movies, I started to see more potential in Ashley.  She is more natural in her acting than Mary-Kate, her comedic timing is more spot on and she has more emotion in her eyes.  I think MK just remained the same with her acting, while Ashley continued to grow.

I heard they took acting lessons (thank goodness) and I did see Mary-Kate in Weeds.  She was...okay, not spectacular, mediocre at best.  Right now, Ashley doesn't have any movies out and MK will be in The Wackness this July, we'll see how that one goes...but yea, I do believe Ashley is the better actress.  

So my final breakdown is, MK has more presence on screen because she is "the edgy one" and MK is more famous than Ashley, come on! her name's Mary-Kate, pretty unique. Mary-Kate shows more interest in acting, Ashley wants to focus on fashion, so I think in that sense, MK will be more successful in the movie biz.  But Ashley has more talent in the acting department.  We can judge better when we see more of their movies in the future. To tell which one is a better actress, we would have to see one of them act.  Neither has done anything that can remotely be considered acting.

Both are commercial successes already, but I would not call it success "as an actress."  I am at a loss to understand why anyone pays the slightest bit of attention to those unattractive, talentless twins.
