Which one of the following 2 is a better wedding gift? Couple is not registered anywhere. I'll give money too

They're not registered anywhere, so I'm going to give them money, but I wanted to give them something else too, instead of only money.

Do you know what their home is like? Do they have room for appliances or do they have a tiny apartment? I do like the idea of the sandwich press (for me, personally), but perhaps they already have all the appliances they need (and that's why they didn't register). Try to find out if they are honeymooning right away. You could arrange to buy them dinner at the hotel they are staying at, or get them a couples massage at a nearby spa.

If I was getting the gift, I would love the panini maker.  It seems like they would get more use out of it.

sandwich maker, it's more practical, how often do ppl really use a crystal ANYTHING!!

I would love the sandwich press if it were me- because I don't have one! But I think it's more of a risky gift as it may be something they already have or someone else may give it to them. Whereas with the crystal bowl it doesn't matter so much if you get 2 of the same as you could use both to serve things at dinner parties, etc.

It depends on the couple. Do they do a lot of entertaining and having people over? If so, then the serving bowl is better. If not, then the sandwich press might be better. Personally, my husband and I love to entertain, so i would like the bowl better, and it is very pretty.
