  2. Washing the rice before cooking it, is sure to be a BIG hit, grating carrots too difficult, layer cake , the waiting for the cooking will bore them, D is almost instant gratification, it will be difficult but easily improved upon with a little practice so they'll enjoy it more.

    making a layer cake - I would let them make cupcakes because then they get their own cake!

    cooking rice?  how boring!

    filling celery sticks with cream cheese!  Then have then put raisins on the cream cheese.  This is called ants on a log!  That would be the most fun for them.  You can use flavored creamed cheese if you like.  Pineapple is a good one.

    b.  Making layer cake...good...let them help measure, pour, stir, and frost  BEST CHOICE

  8. B and D are the best choices, Grating carrots could have them grating their fingers. Rice is simply too boring and involves scalding water.

    I usually get the kids to help me bake and they love it. I premeasure everything and then let them pour it in and mix. They learn amount volume, quantity, numbers and addition it helps with motor development, coordination and cooperation, they learn cause and effect and importantly PATIENCE :p
