  1. I personally had a CBR 600, beautifull bike good torque, however I rented a GSXR600 and the difference in the ride is amazing, the gsxr's seat is a little lower compared to the CBR wich makes you wrist not heart as much when you ride for a long period of time, I would recomend the GSXR, to be truly honest I was never a fan of Suzuki untill after I took it for a ride. Good luck

  2. no insult intended, but your dad is an idiot for requiring you to get a 600cc bike (or bigger) when you have no experience in riding.

That goes against every single new rider advice given by Motorcycle safety instructors.

Rule of thumb : START SMALL

Take an MSF course; learn to ride. Even ask your instructor, what kind of bike is a good beginner bike (they will probably suggest a Ninja 500R if you are looking for a sports type bike).

  3. I would go for the Honda.  If Dad is willing, go for a new bike.  Truthfully, though, both are pretty nice, new or used.  Times have changed.  My first bike was a new 1972 Kawasaki G-5 100cc.  Look it up (Google) and see the ugly yellow color.  Loved it, though.
