The HVRZ7U - hands down.    It does everything the PMWEX1 does, but the HVRZ7U also allows recording to HDV (which also allows immediate long term storage of the raw footage), and you can use other bayonet mount type lenses.  In addition, you can also record to SxS memory cards like the PMWEX1.

    You might have to carry more weight, but you will be able to provide more creative filming.
