Which one of these camcorders should i get?

Also tell me how good each one is and if they have a good quality and which one i should get.

I have the Canon ZR850, which isn't quite as good as the ZR930, but it still has excellent quality.  I would recomend either the Canon ZR930 or the higher-priced Sony camcorder out of experience.  However, I've never used any other camcorders other than a high-priced Sony Handycam that's worth somewhere around $2,500.

Anyway, both Canon and Sony make great camcorders.

buy the HC96 it even better than the sony 403 dvd love it. best dvd cam for 2 years but tape version,large sensor (top model)very good for low lite,and best cam other than h.d video.

me too...im for HC-96

1. biggest sensor (the heart) @ 1/3" HAD CCD (advanced) w/c results to better resolution (next best to hidef?)

2. Mini DV format- 'best' video quality for std. resolution

3. Yes- Widescreen Video Capture  (not common)

4. Min Illumination 0 lux - shud perform better in low lighting shoots

5. with external microphone input- for better audio reception

6. w/ analog A/V input- vcam can be used as pass thru to 'digitize' analog video from analog Hi-8 / vhs vcams

7. w/docking station - stability & convenience during video transfer to pc

Not a bias for Sony, I love XL1
