  1. The only guarantee of success is some luck and  a very strong desire to succeed. Today, with more college  students than ever in the field, with educations slightly higher than our high school standards, the one with the luck and a lot of drive can  succeed in any capacity. The degree may get one in the door. The work ethic will bring advancements.None of the three listed would be on my " to do " list. The fields of computer, engineering and medical science would be choices to consider careerwise.

  2. No degree guarantees success.  The better question is what do YOU want to do for a career?

My sister has a BS in Ecological Travel and Tourism and it does absolutely nothing for her.  She even added a Master's in Wilderness Therapy.  She is very qualified for her field but the field is tiny so it's still a struggle to find a job.

I know a lot of people who were inspired by Jerry Maguire and got degrees in Sports Management and are still waiting for someone to "show them the money."  It's exciting to want to be around professional sports organizations but there really aren't that many jobs available.  Almost all of my friends with these degrees ended up going back to school for MBAs.

A degree can help you get an interview if the company has decided they want to hire a college graduate.  Beyond that, success if up to you and your choices.  None of them are particularly high earning on their own.  My sis was making less than $25K at Outward Bound with her BS degree.  I believe the Master's bumped her up to $40K at a troubled teen boot camp.

Do you have access to a guidance counselor at your school who may be able to tell you what types of jobs graduates with those degrees have landed?  That might help you shape where you want to go after school.

    Good luck!

  3. No guarantees, of course. All three are in low demand in comparison to a basic business degree.

  4. There is no guarenteed success, it matters what you do with it.
