  1. Thumbs up to galactus, Johnny Awesome & visciousvince, and  well said I agree with their assessments.  I think Floyd would beat both Cuevas and Napoles with relative ease but have to work to win a close decision over Curry.  Both Hearns and Pryor would beat Floyd.  Hearns on power and reach, Pryor on aggressiveness and just plain toughness.

  2. Floyd would outbox Cuevas

    Napoles would decision him

Curry would knock him out late

Hearns would knock him out early

Pryor would knock him out in 7

  3. Hearns would destroy him, Pryor was not a welter..but would win anyway

  4. the guys you named but add sr leonard, duran, terry norris, meldrick taylor, hector camacho sr.

  5. for sure Pryor and Thomas H.

    Pipino tooo slooowww

  6. Of course none would be pushovers, but Pryor (by Floyd's own admission) would be a horrible time for him, or anyone.

Hearns size, power, and skill would also bring Mayweather back down to earth.

Hearns would pick him apart from the outside with that jab, it would be like Leonard v. Hearns 1, only Floyd wouldn't have the offense to do what Ray eventually did - and if he sat on the outside and just played defense, he probably wouldn't even be around long enough to try: Hearns by UD12 or KO lin the late rounds.

Everyone sort of agrees that the best way to fight Floyd is to put pressure on him....Aaron Pryor would be all over him the whole fight, and it wouldn't be slow, plodding aggression like Castillo, or wild 'one punch at a time' style either, like Hatton; The Hawk had one of the most fluid, controlled attacks ever - he'd be moving, throwing combinations and backing Floyd up from the opening bell  - I don't know what type of punch Mayweather can take (we would have found out) so I can't say when he would get him, but I know he would.

The other 3 were excellent fights, and would not be easy at all, but Mayweather would be able to handle them a lot like he has handled everyone else - of them I would say Curry, with his speed and very tight technique, would have had the best chance to take a decision from Pretty Boy.

  7. Wow,  Great picks.  Let's see.

Cuevas could end the fight with a few well placed hooks.  However, they'd have to land.  They wont and Floyd would take a decision.

Napoles:  Always a bit overrated, IMO.  Floyd would take him apart and stop him late.  Mantaquilla would make a good fight of it for about 6 rounds before Floyd begins to dismantle him.

    Mayweather by TKO in 9

Curry:  Mayweather would be forced to take the fight inside.  Curry was an excellent boxer.  However, like many good boxers, he scored a few KOs and FORGOT that he's a BOXER.  Floyd could outslick him if Curry comes in with that frame of mind.  Donald SHOULD take a decision.

Hearns:  IF he gains the leverage he becomes the first to stretch Mayweather.  Floyd could work inside and grind Hearns down.  Not likely.

    Hearns by KO in 6

Pryor:  Mayweather cant hurt Pryor.  He's the kind of fighter who can take on any style.  Pryor would offset Mayweather's defensive work. He would not allow Floyd to stay focused.  He would not allow Floyd a moment's peace.  It will take a brutal puncher, not a slick boxer, to stop "Hawk Time" from happening.

Pryor by decision or late KO.

  8. Hearns and Pryor for sure, and possibly Curry.  Not likely for the first two.

  9. Pryor would be a nightmare for Floyd, Hearns would give him fits, as for Curry, Napoles, and Cuevas, I think Floyd could duplicate his performance against Ricky Hatton versus any of those three, and I'm not trying to knock them at all, but Floyd has been known to shine from time to time (hey that almost rhymes.)

  10. ALL OF THE ABOVE.

  11. I think for sure Thomas "Hit Man" Hearns  his reach would have given Mayweather a very long night, and his power would have kept Mayweather on the defensive. All 5 would have been an interesting match up.

  12. tommy  hearns and aaron pryor. ive said this over a million times MAYWEATHER WOULD NOT BEAT HEARNS IN A TEN/TWELVE ROUND FIGHT heres why, the denfenive style mayweather uses would do nothig but make him an easy target for a stiaght right, or he would fall under the pressure of hearns jab unless he got to hearns chin, but he doesnt have enough power to do it in 20 punches or so seeing he would be hit every time he came in range

aaron pryor would chase mayweather around and unload a flurry everytime mayweathers back hit the ropes, all mayweaher would be able to do is reatreat and pryor would apply non stop pressure

  13. Aaron Pryor was relentless and could take Mayweather out in about 9 rounds.

Tommy Hearns would probably just embarrass Floyd to put it simply.

Mayweather would easily out point and out move the other choices.
