  1. I'm not sure I'd trust either one, they're not one of the three top brands.

If your cat is less than 3 months old, you can't use flea control on them, it's toxic to their liver and kidneys.

I've used Advantage, Frontline and Revolution.  Advantage was the only one that didn't 'burn' the cat's and cause discomfort. It also lasted 2 more weeks than the other two did, keeping fleas off for a full 6 weeks even on the outdoor cat at the height of summer.

A dose of Advantage is $10.  It's worth the price.  Getting it from the vet also eliminates any possibility of getting a counterfit medication (which can kill your cat).  Stores order from warehouses who get their supplies from bulk purchases from the lowest bidder, they do stand a good chance of having counterfit meds with what look like accurate boxes but which were not produced by the companies listed on the box.  The vets get theirs from the manufacturer and won't have counterfeits.

Personally I'd recommend the Advantage, I know it works and it doesn't stress out the cats.

  2. Neither one.  Both these products are highly toxic and have been known to cause life-threatening allergic reactions in cats.  You want to use Frontline, Advantage or Revolution.  Of those three, Frontline is the only one you can get without a vet's prescription.
