    MICHAEL JORDAN SUCKS!

  9. VC vs. 'Nique in their primes would be the most entertaining.

Shaq vs. Wilt would also be interesting.

  10. I would give my right arm just to see Lebron James vs. Oscar Robertson. That would be a mind-blowing game. Oscar "The Big O" Robertson, the only player in NBA history to average a triple-double in a season and just missed by a hair in two other seasons. The only guard in NBA history to average more than 10 rebounds a game. One of only two players to lead the NBA in points and assists in a season. He was the prototype for future players like Julius "Dr. J" Erving, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Lebron James.

  11. Unique question.

I'd have to go with Prime Shaq vs. Prime Wilt.

Shaq is the greatest center of the modern era- underrated defensively: his size alone makes him a formidable force in the paint, unbelieavble offensively of course- surprisngly quick for his size, has a nice scoop shot, solid baby hook, and a spin move which he would routinely use in his younger days. Probably the most efficient scorer of all time when looking at the top scorers. Not to mention, his strength- which is staggering.

Wilt is arguably the greatest center of all time- dominant defensively, especially later in his career with the Lakers when his role became more like Bill Russell's role with the Celtics- leave the offense to other players, focus on defense and rebounding- and as most things Wilt did, he was great at that role. And of course, there's Wilt's speed- he was said to be a world class sprinter in his younger days, he added weight easily, great leaper (Wilt won the Big 8 high jump championship 3 years in a row.), and he played at the fastest pace in NBA league history, all the while playing 45+ minutes a game- amazing endurance- he ran marathons: in my opinion, the greatest athlete that has ever been seen in basketball.

So, Wilt against Shaq would be phenomenal- two great centers, two great athletes, matching up head to head- there are so many points that would come up in their matchup, that I'd love to see.

I've analyzed it before, but there's only so much an analysis can do. Just some questions that I've come up with if they were to go head to head:

    Could Shaq handle Wilt's speed?

    Could Wilt handle Shaq's strength?

How would Shaq fare against a big man who had range out to 15 feet in Wilt? (Historically, Shaq doesn't like to come out of the paint to guard the opposing player)

Who would shoot worse from the free throw line?

Would Wilt play a face up game against Shaq since it's hard to back down Shaq?

Would Wilt block Shaq's hook? (As he once blocked Kareem Abdul Jabbar's skyhook- the only player I recall doing so)

Would Shaq's strength, which Wilt has never faced, wear Wilt down so that he couldn't play the huge minutes he usually does?

Would Shaq, after matching up with Wilt, take back his statement, after the 95 Finals, that Hakeem was the greatest center he had ever faced, and praise Wilt as such instead?

How would either player stay out of foul trouble?

Which one would be more effective in terms of involving teammates? (Both are great passers)

    And finally, of course:

Which player would perform better, and arguably more important, which player's team would win?

If I were to pick a winner, and that's very hard, I'd go with Wilt- his range out to 15 feet (he had a fadeaway jumper) would bother Shaq.

His quickness/speed would also help him in staying right with Shaq, force more turnovers than usual as Hakeem did against Shaq in the 95 finals.

And, Wilt was the greatest ever at staying out of foul trouble despite playing 45+ minutes a game. He never fouled out of an NBA game, and averaged only 2 fouls per game (Shaq averages about 3.5 fouls per game).

Also, Wilt was a better defender: as I said earlier Shaq is underrated defensively, but Wilt was more mobile, a better help defender ( A coach at the time once said that if they had recorded blocks in those days, he thinks that Wilt got over 25 blocks in at least a couple games- the coach may have been exaggerating, but wow) , and a better man defender.

To add, Wilt was also a better rebounder (better timing, anticipitation, leaper), and even adjusting for the much faster pace teams played at back in the 60's/70's (using a stat called rebound rate), Wilt would still average more rebounds per game.

So, with Wilt's ability to stay out of foul trouble, his superior athletisicm, his versatility in terms of being able to take Shaq outside from the paint, and being a better defender/rebounder- I'd go with Wilt.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised, given how good Shaq is, if he came out on top.

  12. I'd want to see Michael Jordan Vs Kobe Bryant.

This way we can finally stop half the questions posted on here.
