  1. Tim Lincecum looks like he could win multiple Cy Young's by the time he retires.

I have to say yes because I'm a D'Back fan. That's more hope than real logic but he looks like he should develop into a really good player.

  2. Anyone that watchs a decent amount of baseball  knows that

Scott Kazmir(Rays), Jered Weaver(Angels), and Felix Hernandez(Mariners), have the best stuff. They have the best overall resumes, discipline, and baseball IQ.

Both Kazmir and Hernandez have been injured the past couple years which is holding them back alot, and Jered Weaver is starting a bit slow, despite going 11-2 his rookie season.

The next runners up would be Lincecum then Verlander.

Carmona was a one hit wonder, and the yankees and red sox pitchers will never be dominate enough to top this list, they just wont because they are in hitters ballparks.

  3. felix........hernandez......i have seen him pitch......its unbeleiveable......and im exited you put him on the top of the list. he was able to throw 100 mph at the age of 16.........now that is talent. let alone he shut his critics up when he said he was over weight. very next season bam lost all of it and threw A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

  4. Lincecum, Chamberlain, and Lester.  I would say Kazmir and Verlander, but they are already kinda established

  5. Justin Verlander well be one of the best on this list given a few years. Liriano is relatively young and well continue to play well if he stays healthy. Scott Kazmir, Ervin Santana, and Tim Lineceum have already proven themselves and can only continue to get better.

  6. Lincecum and Kazimir

...and when they're free agents, they'll "break the bank." Both will be in NY, one for the Mets and the other for the Yankees.

  7. I'll go with my top 3 as far as careers on this list:  Uballo Jimenez, Jaba Chamberlin, and Cole Hammels.

For the same reason.  They are young, they are hard throwing have multiple plus pitches, and they aren't scared to challenge a hitter, even when they don't have their best stuff.

Q2: Upton was young and rushed.  He really needed another year in AAA.  He's got the physical skills, but he's putting it together.  I think once he does he'll be a great player.  AND...he's still very young.

  8. of those you listed--Lincecum has "nasty" stuff--Im wondering  why you include Weaver, Lester, Garza, etc... and omit Volquez-Volquez is better than 90% of the pithcers you listed!  Look up the stats!

  9. They are all very good pitchers will have bright future. I would take Tim Lincecum and Cole Hammels from each side.

I know no one care about the braves but Jair Jerrijens is on pace to win 18 games. I take him as ROY. If you put him on the list, I take him over Tim and Cole because the maturity and younger than both of them. (20 I believe, correct me if I am wrong.)

  10. From this list I  like Lester, kazmir and Hammels the most.

Joba hasn't given anybody a reason not to think that he's going to be very good, But I have a feeling that there is an arm injury in his future.  Not wishing it on the young man, just a hunch.

  11. Fransico Liriano, Matt Garza, Scott Kazmir, Tim Lincecum, Justin Verlander, and Cole Hammels are my top 6 out of this list...all have very good potential, i think!

  12. Tim Lincecum will be a future cy young award winner, and in my opinion is already the best pitcher in baseball.

  13. ok so u gotta take out da guys that are alredy key contributers

    and cant miss deffinete prospects

    like

    kazmir

    hernandez

    verlander

    lester

    chamberlain lincecum

    ervin santana

now i think that phil hughes is a stuf and he needs to get over those lil injuries good thing non of the injuries are this his arm

  14. If it was purely based on potential and talent, hernandez and lincecum would be the best.  However, hernandez has been hurt, lincecum may be hurt, and both are pitching on terrible offensive teams.  If either of them get a decent offense backing them up, they will be superstars.  If not, then they will both be all-stars, but verlander will be the best.  He has downright nasty stuff and after starting the season slowly, he regained the form that made him dominate in 2006 and 2007.  He will be something special.

  15. From this list, my top 5 favorites are Lincecum, Kazmir, Gallardo, Chamberlain, and Hammels.

To answer your other question, yes he does have potential, but where the hall did you get a "98 potential rating" from?  What, a video game?  That's pretty stupid if it's true...

EDIT: Doesn't it figure that Gallardo gets no love?  Underrated...

  16. I think that Justin Verlander has the most potential...Hes thrown a no hitter. This year has not been his best year, but has not gotten much run support from the offense. Hes a young kid with a great arm. He has great perseverance even if the team doesn't score. Upton will be a good player but not great

    FS

  17. Heres my top 5 of these guys

    1.Tim Lincecum

    2.Cole Hamels

    3.Scott Kazmir

    4.Justin Verlander

    5.Jon Lester

  18. The top five are Tim Lincecum, Felix Hernandez, Jon Lester, Joba Chamberlin, Scott Kazmir.

  19. Santans he is a great pitcher and where is Joe Saunders he's one of the best in the league

  20. kazmir lincecum hammels verlander felix and garza

  21. Cole Hamels.  He is a young lefty that throws like Carlton.  I think the pitching staff that the Phillies have and the record they have is a credit to Dubee the pitching coach.  He is one of those pitchers that just get it done and not by size or overly flashy.  Some of the pitchers are flame throwers but Cole looks like he will be around a long time and he is a gamer.

  22. defenitly lincecum

    and yes on upton

  23. Yes on the Upton question. Lester if he stays in Boston and Lincecum can only get better if he leaves SF.

  24. lincecum, chamberlin, lester, and hamels are the names that really stick out for me.  They are all young, and showing lots of potential.

  25. My vote goes to Lincecum.

But, it's still early in his career. You never know, especially with injuries and such.

  26. Lincecum, and Kazmir

i have seen all of them pitch and they are all looking good  but lincecum is just nasty and will be much better off if he gets traded... the mets will rue the day they lost Kazmir hes gonna be a great also Justin Upton will be fun to watch

  27. I've been a fan of Scott Kazmir for a long while.  I'd love him on the White Sox.

  28. Jon Lester is the up and coming Red Sox ace.  I personally think he is the ace right now but, Beckett has that distinction with the team.

Scott Kazmir has always impressed me and I think he has huge potential for a great career.

As much as I hate him, Joba Chamberlain seems to be a solid starter now and he is one to watch out for.

I am not familiar with Justin Upton all that much but, I have only heard good things about him.

  29. honestly i havent heard of most of these.

american or national league [that is if its from us baseball]

ps not tryin to be rude.
