  1. I think what the person above me is trying to say is that by the time you are a junior or senior in high school you have a much better chance of meaningfully changing your SAT/ACT than you do of making a significant change in your GPA, thus her inane: High scores allows you to have a low GPA comment. The truth is though that colleges care much more about your GPA than your standardized test scores, as long as they are above some minimum cutoff score.


  2. SAT score. The higher your SAT score is the lower your GPA can be. However since most people take either the SAT or the ACT they can't really be weighed against each other. Most schools prefer that you take the SAT over the ACT though.
