I just graduated from University and I'm in search of jobs. I have known two professers very well (I always came to them and asked questions) and I'm sure they know me very well too and are willing to help in providing me reference letter / letter of recommendation. I have a few quesations, what kind of letter should I ask for in this case that can help me find a job, reference letter or letter of recommendation? My friend told me that I need just one letter from each professor because I can just give the potential employers photo copies of the original letter, is that true? I think it makes sense, otherwise, my professors would have to write me 100 letters if I'm going to interviews with 100 different employers. Thank you.

  1. letter of recommendation...this letter would cover it all...a reference to you and to all of your accomplishments...and yes photo copies would be great...

  2. I'd say letter of recommendation....

    just my opinion

  3. A letter of recommendation would be best.  Keep the original (in case a prospective employer asks to see it) and provide a photocopy with your application or resume'.
