Which one should I get an Ipod touch or classic?

Question

I don't know which one to go for. Have had both before but want to get another one. I want to download music and video. I know a Nano is not going to have enough storage capacity for what I want to do. It is not a problem for me the size of the screen. Any advice would be great.

def the ipod touch, if you jailbreak it you can download music and videos straight from the ipod.

I definitely prefer the Touch because it has so many more features, especially with the new AppStore. I bought it right when it came out and have used it everyday since. However, it is worse if you use music alot because you cant change songs with it in your pocket (you cant feel a click wheel, like with other iPods) and it doesn't have as much memory. The screens are really strong too (look up "iPod Touch scratch test" on youtube) and it's much thinner than a classic. I'd buy the iPod Touch any day.

i would suggest the classic.

seriously, the touch is just a showy thing.

the classic has great digital quality, and not all of its storage is wasted on a silly touch screen.

if you want the best storage- i would suggest the classic.

Id go with the touch any day. In Fact I am writing to you from my itouch right now. Youtube is a very usefull app as is Safari. Mail and weather and maps and notes are also helpful. Stocks Is good if you invest in shares of buisnesses. Reasonably fast Internet and good display quality. However if you need a lot of memory then go for the classic. I have a 16GB itouch but if you need more than 16GB then don't get the  32GB iPod touch as it is way too overpriced. Get the 80GB iPod calssic and not the the 160GB because the 160GB is tends to have more faults and is more likely to suffer from overheating and viruses and bugs.

well ive had the nano and ti have he touch now i say get the touch and if you've got wireless ten i would definitely get the touch even though you won't have as much memory as the classic my sister had the  classic and it has big problems....if you want memory and video then get the classic video its so good my sister has that and she has so much on there and with the new touch coming out soon it still won't beat 80GB video the new touch will have 32GB

The touch is so much more than an iPod - its a PDA, Web browser, toolbox with the new apps you can get via the itunes store (needs version 2 of the software which may be a £5.99 upgrade depending on where you buy it from).

They are easy to use with the touch interface this is the first of the new way of using gadgets and appliances.

it comes in 8,16 and 32 GB versions although the 32 and 16 are a bit overprice they are worth it.

Contrary to reports the screens don't scratch or break easily. they are more robust than the nano ever was.

I woul recommend the ipod classic, there are sooo many bad reviews for the ipod touch plus touch screens are always prone to breaking within a year. I myself have a ipod nano and love it to bits, holds all the songs and videos I need and is baby proof as my son likes to try and turn on the tv with it =P
