Car repairing would be more useful in your life than singing.

It depends what your interests are right now,  do you have a car? getting ready to drive?  or are you looking for a hobbie of singing  Which ever is more important to you. Get both is you have the money.  Reading is always a good thing to do and you are learning at the same time.  God Luck
