Which one sounds better?

Question

So I have to write a random poem or anything else I can think of and I'm questioning these two lines...

But on the other side and in between the lines lies another place

The one where lack of trust and all of the disgust disappear without a trace

OR

But on the other side and in between the lines lies another place

One that sings the a song or writes the mind a poem, no feeling ever goes to waste.

The first one is stunning. Deleting the words "The one" from the second line of it will add impact.

This is great, and sounds better at every re-read

I hate to disagree with the precedent answers, but I do like the second one better. Though the first one has great rhyme scheme, it comes across as kind of campy to me.

We need the rest of the poem to really see which one goes best with what you already have.
