  1. Have you shot both?

I would good with the one that "Feels Good". I'm not in law inforcement, but I am a fair shot. I personnally prefer a Dan Wesson 44mag. 8.5" barrel. That way I can buy only 1 type of bullet for reloading for my rifle as well. A .444 Marlin Lever action w/iron sights. (yeah, I kinda old fashion)

Thank you for your service too the community!

(Law enforcement personnal don't hear that enough.)

  2. I would not buy a Springfield armory weapon.

We trained on our range and everyone who shot with me that had one - 3 guys - had jams on every clip - we fired at least 10 clips.

This was one handed shooting with a ballistic shield - none of the guys with glocks had any trouble - and some of the guys with jams were range officer - some of the best shooters on the dept.

Needless to say - guys are going away from that weapon

  3. I have a friend who has an XD and his is picky on the type ammo he uses. If you want to rely on this gun with your life I think i would step up to a HK.

I had a HK usp 40 and it was flawless. Shot anything I put thru it and very accurate.

  4. XD's can be picky. You are probably better off with a USP40.

  5. For a duty weapon? Better get something you can trust. I mean, TRUST. I carried a S&W 28 for a while, then a Colt Gov't. Model .45 ACP, then finally a Czech CZ-75. I'd be leary of carrying an off-brand.
