saturn is c**p. go with the mazda. its japanese. its reliable. is got awesome mpg. and looks way better - i think the ion looks ugly

The Ion was considered the worst car ever made by Edmunds.com. The Protege is nothing special, just a car made to get you form point a to point b with no hassle.

Go for the Mazda.
