  1. for a snake i think corn snake is the best snake you could have for pet. mine is a baby very calm and docile even with kids.he like to be handle.he never bite or try to bite me.he eat a dead pinkie mouse every 5 days.and its easy to care for him.corn snake come in very different colors.here are some website on corns:

if you want a lizard that is more calm when you handle it , a leopard gecko is the best choice for you. they are also easy to care for. they eat crickets , mealworms and waxworm. here some care sheet about leopard geckos:

another good lizard for beginner is crested geckos they are cool to watch.you can handle them but they can be jumpy and are unpredictable.one advantage if you dont want to feed them bugs they can eat crested gecko diet only  it's a powder that you mix with water. it's a complete diet for cresties.they live in humidity so you need a hygrometer in the tank and a spray bottle (that have never contain chemical product)to mist the tank with water.here are some care info on crested geckos:

dont forget the three of them can live about 20 years so they are lifetime pet.

    hope it helps you!
