  1. "Winkflash" promises the lowest rates, and I know folks that like  its price, service, and quality.  However, the shipping costs (they only ship) may run up the price per print if you don't get many prints done at once (say less than about 30 4" by 6" prints).  I've never used them, since I don't print a lot of photos, and I would rather pay for my prints w/o using a credit card....

Check out Wal-Mart's online photo site.  I've never had a problem with the quality, but the online editing and color correction tools and "autocorrection" are about the worst I've used.  Get your prints edited the way you like them _BEFORE_ you upload them to Wal-Mart, and they'll do a good job. They're the cheapest place I know of locally for making a few prints (say less than 20), especially if I use the "free shipping to the store"  option for 2 or 3 day delivery to the local store. I can pay online using a Wal-Mart gift card, which reduces the risk of credit card and ID theft.  You can also order one hour processing online to a local store through Wal-Mart's photo site, but your local store has to have in-store processing to offer the service.  The last I ordered prints, Wal-Mart charged $0.15 per 4" by 6" print delivered 2 to 3 days to the store, or $0.19 per one hour 4" by 6" print  - no shipping charges, but add in local taxes.  Wal-Mart will ship to your door, but winkflash is a cheaper option for that...

K-Mart also has an online photo site.  Again, free delivery to the local store (no home shipping option that I know of).  K-Mart's site  never asked me for a credit  or debit or gift card for pre-payment, it was always "pay in the store when picked up."  Locally the delivery to the store can take up to a week, but the quality is alway great.  The online editing tools seem to work better than Wal-Mart's, and Kodak will automatically improve poor quality photos.  K-Mart is not the cheapest online photo site, but I've been the happiest with that one so far.

I've used Clark Photo (Clark Color) in the past, but gave up on  them about 2 years ago because of very poor quality control.  Often prints would have a purple or greenish tint that turned out well at other online photo sites, and there was a lot of fingerprint and dust marks on the print (like their gear needed cleaning badly, and they didn't care to fix it).  Clark may have got its act together by now, but they lost me as a customer due to my problems with them over a period of about a year....

  2. I highly recommend R&P Prints in Canada.  They are relatively new, but they have a very large variety of printing options.  I've used them so far for photos (12 cent a print with online ordering), business cards, postcards, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.  Their pricing was the best I've found in Canada and they even offer delivery.
