Which online stock brokerage is the best in US stock exchange & what kind of assistance do they provide??

I was wondering I am new to stock market and I was looking for good reliable online stock brokerage. I am looking about 5-10 trades/ month if even that. I was also wondering what kind of assistance and advice do online broker firm provide. also what are the other good research websites and TV shows that are helpful...thank you for all your assistance I really appreciate it.

The best online brokerage acct. by far is zecco, but i advise you to do the research yourself to confirm this first! they are the only ones that have free stock trading {with 2500 minumum acct balance, or 4.50 if less than 2500, wich is still the lowest you will find i promise}, it's what i use and am doing quite well.

All major brokerage firms provide their clients with on-line services, including trading platforms, latest market & financial news and research.

Customer need to select the site that is best for them.  Traders have requirements in a site, while investors have other requirements.  

Almost all trading platforms provide research capabilities, along with charting and other market and security related information.

Very few firms provide on-line customers with advise and/or assistance.  Using those customers that are considered "on-line" clients do not pay sufficient commissions or fees to warrant any assistance or advice.

However, if you were to go with a major firm and use the services of their in-house people, with occasional on-line orders, you would receive all the services you would need

It seems that the most popular firms for on-line investing all of which provide excellent platforms and services are; Scottrade; Chas.Schwab; TDAmeritrade; Fidelity; E-Trade and Thinkorswim
