  1. Keep XP.

Vista has so many errors and compatibility issues.

It uses a lot of resources.

It requires a really big hard drive and a faster processor.

A lot of programs don't work with vista.

Some people reported having problems with windows update.

And more annoyances.....So, keep xp and install service pack 3 for xp.

  2. Vista is a memory hog, and it is always asking permission for everything.

In the last two weeks I have removed Vista from more than twenty computer systems and installed XP Home for dissatisfied computer users.

Even if they stop support for XP it will continue to work just fine, for example, Windows 98SE still works just fine and support for it ended some time ago.

Note: Some newer systems do not support XP any longer, (drivers are unavailable for them) as Microsoft is trying to force people to use their later operating system. Because of Vista being such a over rated program with so many faults Linux based systems are becoming very popular.

If Microsoft can't make a better operating system than Vista, then Linux will be very popular in the near future.

  3. Vista needs spichial programs some programs can't work with it.but it is good too.

  4. Reasons to get Vista:

    -Enhanced security

    -DX10 is ideal for gaming

-Support for XP will go down and Vista will continue to get updates

    -"Cool looking"

    Reasons to get XP:

-You don't need really fast running computer to run it

-You don't need to right click your program and go to properties to set complatibility options like you do in Vista

    -Good old feeling of XP

I personally go with Vista because it works just fine for me. If you dont have a high end computer or what not, then go with XP

People that don;t like VIsta aren't used to the new design. They don't have a good computer that can support it as well.

Vista does not have any compatiblity problems. If the program you are running is well coded, it will definietly run on Vista. If it's not a good program, it won't run.

Vista also has minimum bugs. Its been proven that Vista had less bugs to start out than XP when it first came out.

Yes Vista can be a memory hog, but like I said, if you have a decent computer, it can handle Vista well.

Vista always asking for permission is a sign of security, you can always disable it whenever you want.

  5. XP is better than Vista. It is more stable, less bloated and has better compatibility. But neither OS is good. Frankly, they both suck. Try Linux or get a Mac.
